In July of last year, the “AMERICAN IDOL Audition Bus Tour” hit the road for an eleven-town mobile tour offering hopefuls a chance to audition for AMERICAN IDOL XIV. The show’s judges traveled across the country, with stops in Kansas City, Missouri; Long Island, New York; Minneapolis, Minnesota; New Orleans, Louisiana; San Francisco, California; and our own Nashville, Tennessee searching for those who have the potential to transform from an everyday singer into a successful, Platinum-recording artist.
On July 30, thousands of people flooded the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Downtown Nashville to see if they had what it takes to be the next AMERICAN IDOL. Every year, tens of thousands of hopefuls from across the nation audition for this shot at being the next singing superstar, but only a select few make it to the top.
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege to interview four American Idol contestants that auditioned here in Nashville and made it to the live taping on August 8 at the Music City Center. They are all different ages and each have their own unique sound, as well as American Idol stories. I will share their interviews with you on Thursday and Friday of this week after their auditions are aired on FOX.
AMERICAN IDOL XIV debuts with an exciting two-night, three-hour premiere Wednesday, Jan. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Thursday, Jan. 8 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The fun starts with auditions from each of the judges’ hometowns, kicking off in Nashville, where Keith has put down roots.
