  2009-03-02\n\nThe O'Charley's Dinner of Champions was created in 1999 and
  is Nashville's sports awards event that honors and recognizes outstanding
  achievements in Middle Tennessee sports by individuals\, teams\, and orga
 nizations.   The event includes a reception\, a silent auction featuring o
 ne-of-a-kind sports memorabilia\, a seated dinner and a dazzling video pre
 sentation. A rich tradition of past award winners includes Steve McNair\, 
 Vince Gill\, Jeff Fisher\, Darrell Waltrip\, Vince Young\, Chantelle Ander
 son\, Fred Russell\, Erron Kinney\, Earl Bennett\, Brant Snedeker and Davi
 d Price. Each year\, two outstanding male and female high school student-a
 thletes receive scholarships for their academic and athletic achievements\
 , and the evening is capped off with the unveiling of the Top 10 Sports Mo
 ments of the Year as selected by a panel of media. The big winner of the e
 vening is the Nashville Sports Council's Good Sports Program\, which uses 
 the proceeds from the event to provide scholarships and grants throughout 
 the year to deserving amateur athletes and athletic organizations.\n\nStar
