 is year\, Historic Downtown Franklin's Pumpkinfest is adding some new acti
 vities - including cemetery tours\, a carnival and a street dance - to mak
 e Main Street's annual fall festival even more fun. The street festival of
  Pumpkinfest is free and open to the public on Franklin's Main Street from
  Second to Fifth Avenues. After 6:00pm\, activities continue with the Aven
 ue Bank Street Dance on Fourth Avenue North and an outdoor movie\, &ldquo\
 ;The Haunting\,&rdquo\; on Third Avenue South. The street dance is 21-and-
 up\; the movie is for all ages.\nActivities of Pumpkinfest include: More t
 han 60 vendors will be displaying hand-crafted items perfect for fall and 
 the holidays. All Things Pumpkin area at Five Points\; Franklin's Sister C
 ity\, Carleton Place\, Canada\, brings down the great pumpkin which will b
 e on display in front of the Franklin Theatre with a chance to guess the w
 eight. The Leiper's Fork Carving Club will be carving pumpkins and display
 ing their work throughout the day on Fourth Avenue North. The People's Chu
 rch children's area on Third Avenue South filled with free and fun activit
 ies for young children. A free outdoor Halloween movie from 7:00pm-9:00pm 
 shown on Third Avenue South between City Hall and the Old County Courthous
 e. The movie is the 1963 version of &ldquo\;The Haunting&rdquo\; - a suspe
 nseful black-and-white film without violence\, language or anything that w
 ould rate a PG-13 rating by today's standards. This is the original produc
 tion of the well-known film.\nThe Franklin Tomorrow Chili Cook-off on Four
 th Avenue South. Tickets to taste chili from 10 local organizations and re
 staurants will be available for $5 at the intersection of Fourth Avenue an
 d Main during the event. A beer/wine garden on Fourth Avenue South\, cappi
 ng off Pumpkinfest with the Avenue Bank Street Dance featuring popular loc
 al band the Soul Searchers from 7:30pm-10:00pm preceded by Stoned Soul Rev
 ival from 6:00pm-7:30pm. There is a $5 per person cover charge from 6:00pm
 -10:00pm. There will be Cemetery Tours on Halloween Night from 7:00pm-9:00
 pm. Participants will walk from tombstone to tombstone at the Historic Res
 thaven cemetery on North Margin Street\, hearing about the people who are 
 buried in the graves from costumed reenactors. Tickets are $15 per person 
 for adults\, $10 for children\, but the activity is not recommended for ch
 ildren under 6. Tickets are available from www.franklinonfoot.com and at t
 he Heritage Foundation. Participants should bring a flashlight and wear cl
