    About Perry County

     

    Perry County is known for it's beautiful nature, which includes the Buffalo River running wild through the middle of the country and the Tennessee river to the west, the Mennonite communities with their fresh produce and quality goods, and a genuine small town charm.

    It is rich in cultural history, with Civil War sites such as the Cedar grove Iron Furnace and the County Courthouse, which is the focus of an Annual Reenactment in May. Rally Tennessee is an annual Memorial Day weekend event thrill-ride, and Mousetail Landing State Park is sure to have something for every outdoor enthusiast to enjoy. The Arts have been a catalyst for the reconstruction of Perry County as well, and both Linden and Lobelville are undergoing revitalizations that have heads turning and giving more reasons than ever to visit Perry County.
