Explore the rhythms of Brazilian samba with Mestre Gildo Valu, a visiting artist from Salvador, Brazil. Born in Bahia, Mestre Valu was raised in the Capoeira and Samba traditions and is a widely acclaimed musician who will be in residence in Nashville for several weeks. This workshop will be an introduction to the instruments, rhythms and songs of Samba.
