The Arts Center announces auditions for their summer youth production of the musical, Footloose whose score includes “Lets Hear It For The Boy,” “Almost Paradise,” “Holding Out For a Hero,” and of course, “Footloose”. Lana Spry directs Footloose with rehearsals starting around mid May and production dates are July 11-26.
The Footloose cast features numerous roles for various teenagers and adults, as well as large singing-dancing ensembles. Come prepared with an up-tempo show tune. The song does not have to be from Footloose, but should have a similar 80’s pop feel. Bring your own sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. Auditions will also include cold readings from the script and dance auditions for the teenagers. There are roles available for teenagers, ages 14 and up, 3 men, and 4 women. In addition, there are roles available for dancers only.

The auditions will be held at The Arts Center of Cannon County located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville. Office hours are 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday through Saturday.
