Jazz piano legend Kenny Barron returns to the Jazz Cave at the Nashville Jazz Workshop for two nights of solo piano, November 16 and 17. He will also present an educational workshop Saturday morning November 17 at 10am for High School and Middle School music students. With more than 40 recordings as a leader, Kenny Barron is one of the top jazz pianists in the world. His playing is elegant, melodic, and swinging. He began his career in the early 60's playing with James Moody and Dizzy Gillespie, and has performed with most of today's jazz greats. This event is supported by grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission and Southern Arts Federation, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
