Tennessee Repertory Theatre is pleased to offer a series of workshops designed to provide learning opportunities and experience for the theatre community of Middle Tennessee. Led by our own talented staff, the upcoming workshop series will highlight auditioning, improvisational skills, and stage combat. This session will focus on the use of improvisational skills in the acting craft. Students will explore different levels of imporvisations as well as the difference between theatrical improvisation and stand-up comedy. Exercises will be designed to allow participants to enrich their acting by focusing on being and creating in the moment, thinking on their feet, honing their listening skills, and honestly reacting to a partner. Workshop leader: Kevin Shell. All workshops held at NPT, Studio A, 161 Rains Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203. Registration will be limited to high school and above, and class size is limited.
