The Bacchanalian Society of Nashville was organized to give "wine box lovers" and wine connoisseurs the opportunity to learn more about wine in a relaxing, social setting while benefitting local charities. Proceeds from the the inaugual wine event on January 24 will benefit Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum of Art. Below is a brief rundown of the rules: * Come as a team of 1-3 persons. * Each team must bring 3 bottles of the same wine. This event's designated wine is Pinot Noir. * Upon arrival two or your team's bottles are opened, placed in a bag (to hide its identity), randomly numbered and set out to taste. * When the clock strikes 7:00pm, you have two hours to socialize and taste. * When the clock strikes 9:00pm, you vote for your favorite and least favorite wines. * The teams that bring the 1st, 2nd and last place wines take home the other teams' 3rd unopened bottles. * We expect a crowd of over 400 people ... so we're talking about a lot of wine!
