Everett (Ev) Niewoehner was born in rural Iowa and grew up and studied in Colorado. He taught high school for four years, and then owned and operated an art gallery in Los Angeles. He moved to Tennessee and taught here for 21 years. Ev retired from teaching in 1999 to concentrate on his first love, oil painting. While he works with a number of genres, the subject of music has dominated his work. Ev has exhibited in many galleries and art centers, including Los Angeles, New Orleans, Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham, Atlanta. Ev lives on a small farm in Dickson, Tenn. with his cat, Paco. He has a daughter who lives in Nashville and teaches in the Metro schools. To see more of the paintings at Ev's exhibit, visit his website. Art reception/party TBA, to be held prior to the exhibit close. Important Information: NJW is located inside the Neuhoff Complex, at the east end of Monroe Street in Germantown. The complex will be closed from December 21 through January 10.
