The Birdhouse Thing is a unique event that has become a favorite on the Nashville social scene. A benefit for the W.O. Smith Music School, The Birdhouse Thing showcases 150 artfully designed birdhouses available for purchase through both live and silent auction at the event or online at opryauction.com. Local artists, architects, celebrities and public figures donate time and talents to decorate houses for the cause. This year's participants include Barbara Coon, Evette White, Carole Young, Jeff Green, Anne Brunette, Lucy Ray, Kristin Calpino, Tony Trapani. In addition to the auction, guests feast on an outstanding selection of food and drink provided by various Nashville caterers, specialty food shops and popular dining destinations.
