Add Review/CommentThe Nashville Jazz Workshop and the Frist Center for the Visual Arts announce the return of last year's popular jazz performance and education series, Jazz on the Move. The final of four Sunday afternoon programs is Sunday, April 13, 3:00pm, in the Frist Center Auditorium. The topic is The American Popular Song: Music of Johnny Mercer, with Beegie Adair & Ken Roberts. All performances in this series are free and open to the public. Rarely does the public have the chance to hear jazz artists explain their music and the different styles of jazz. The Jazz on the Move series is designed to take jazz out of the club or concert hall setting and into the community. Jazz fans and novices alike will have the chance to learn more about this great music. The Jazz on the Move series is made possible through a $5,000 grant to the Nashville Jazz Workshop from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
