In concert at Cookeville Drama Center is the International Bluegrass Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year, 2001-2007. Gospel Singing is the maistay of the QUICKSILVER repertoire, and Doyle Lawson is a master at discovering and revitalizing obscure material from old hymnbooks and early records. The DOYLE LAWSON & QUICKSILVER sound - which emphasizes smooth, intricate, astonishingly perfect vocal harmonies, innovative song arrangements, and stunning instrumental work - has been a model for countless progressive bluegrass bands of the 1980s and 90s. The QUICKSILVER makeup currently includes: Alan Johnson, Carl White, Darren Beachley, Joey Cox, Josh Swift, and Key Chang.
