The 2008 Franklin Jazz Festival is the 19th annual fall festival put together by Zia Music Production, LLC, in cooperation with Ventress Design Group. The festival is one of the longest running jazz festivals in the southeast. It has been a popular labor day tourist stop for years. Its purpose is to acquaint the public with the restored historic downtown area, to showcase high quality superb musical entertainment, and to raise funds to continue to revitalize downtown using historic preservation methods. The 2006 festival drew an estimated 10,000 people for the two-day event. This year’s event will include more food vendors, a beer and wine tent, sponsor’s tents and a limited amount of craft vendors.

Featuring: Buckwheat Zydeco, Cissy Crutcher, Corazon, Storm Kings, Orquesta Macuba, Pat Coil Sextet, Christina Watson and Reggie Wooten.

The 2008 Franklin Jazz Festival will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation Middle and West Tennessee.
