Add Review/CommentBased on the novel by Irving Stone, Lust for Life is a brilliant portrait of the relationship between the tormented painter Vincent van Gogh (played by Kirk Douglas) and his friend Paul Gauguin (played by Anthony Quinn). Beautifully captured, the film is an exquisite feast of color orchestration. Directed by Vincente Minnelli, 1956, 122 minutes. Not Rated.
