HA Gallery at Hanging Around will open its new Nashville location with Tide of Emotions, the first art exhibition featuring the works of mixed media visual artist Toni Dranes Hooper and fine arts photographer Tara Thompson. The exhibition will begin on Friday, April 4 with a reception from 5:00pm-8:00pm and the exhibition runs through April 30.

Hooper, who recently exhibited her abstract expressionist works in Florence, Italy, will debut her latest acrylic paintings on plexiglass and canvas. Described as “organic dreamscapes,” Hooper’s latest works feature colorfully poured, thrown and brushed patterns in a style all her own. Thompson will exhibit black and white, color and sepia-toned photographs showcasing her innovative process. Her photographs, which are printed on multi-layered watercolor paper, use soft focus and other techniques to create emotions of peace, serenity and solitude.
