Slaters Creek is in need of community action. The Cumberland River Compact, along with the city of Millersville, Goodlettsville, and Sumner County is hosting a cooperative clean up for Slaters Creek on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Take I-65 N to exit 98, turn right, and we will be staged near the Citgo on 31W. Volunteers will be provided with t-shirts, gloves, bags, refreshments and the opportunity to help make a difference in their watershed.

The city of Millersville, Goodlettsville, and Sumner County are working to clean up and maintain SumenrCounty’s water resources, in part, through clean-up efforts in local streams. Slaters Creek is an impaired stream that runs through the cities’ centers and eventually flows into the Cumberland River.
