Grand Ole Opry featuring the Josh Turner, Marty Stuart, the Gibson Brothers and more
April 11, 2008
Every week, the Grand Ole Opry blends the excitement of a live audience, the heritage of the world's longest-running live radio show, and an incredible mix of talent to create a uniquely American experience like no other. Heard and seen across the country on 650 WSM and GAC: Great American Country, the Opry is also available worldwide at opry.com.
Scheduled to perform on Friday, April 11 are: Jimmy C. Newman, Rebecca Lynn Howard, T. G. Sheppard, Riders In The Sky, Bobby Osborne & The Rocky Top X-Press, Jamey Johnson, Jean Shepard, Carolina Rain, Gibson Brothers, Marty Stuart, Gene Watson, Josh Turner.
Schedule Changes: The lineup for each Grand Ole Opry show is not completely finished until just a few days before the show, so it is not possible to post the schedule far in advance. Artists are posted to the Opry website as soon as appearances are confirmed (artists and schedule subject to change). Plan to check back often, as most times artists' appearances are not confirmed until one to two weeks prior to the show date (or even a day before.)

My family made a road trip like "back in the day" to Tennesse - a family of four, our daughter 16 and our son 20. We live in NJ and love country music, and we went to Memphis, Loretta Lynn's ranch, Nashville, and we went to this radio show called the Grand Ole Opry :) We learned so much about America and country music, we loved the Opry mueseum better then the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was wonderful, we will never forget the music, joy, and love that each performer brought and gave to the audience, a truly American Treasure, so glad we went. Thanks to each featured artist, the Bluegrass and Jim Ed Brown. God Bless the Opry! Collapse

Attending the Grand Ole Opry for the first time was a highlight for our first visit to Nashville. It was an amazing show, and sitting in the second row-centre, we had a great view. We loved every minute of our evening and it was even more meaningful because we had the backstage tour in the morning. Now when I watch the show on TV, I understand the history and making of the show. Marty Stuart, Jeannie Seely, Connie Smith, Ricky Skaggs and the Whites were my favourites but the rest of the groups were great too. Collapse
