The Tennessee Green Expo will be Nashville's first trade show where every exhibitor on the floor will offer green products, services or information, from environmentally sound home improvement options to herbal skin care. Local vendors ranging from native plants nurseries to hybrid cars dealers, from eco-fashion retailers to residential recycling services, will be on hand to greet the public and provide plenty of one-on-one information.

In conjunction with the trade show, environmental author and business leader Paul Hawken, co-founder of Smith & Hawken, a $75 million catalog and retail company specializing in garden and horticultural products, will give a talk at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 3. Hawken's address will be free and open to the public, but pre-registration is requested at http://sustainability.lipscomb.edu. Smith & Hawken has been cited as one of the most environmentally innovative companies in the U.S.

Please note: The trade show will be closed for one hour, 7pm-8pm on Thursday, April 3, while the free speech by Hawken is taking place.
