Join author Charles E. Cobb Jr., an award-winning reporter (NPR, National Geographic, PBS Frontline) and founding member of the National Association of Black Journalists, as he discusses his recently published work, On the Road to Freedom: A Guided Tour of the Civil Rights Trail. Cobb will discuss the people and places, the roads and paths travelled by activists, while guiding us through Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee back to the real grassroots of the Civil Rights Movement. A book signing to follow. This event is sponsored by the Nashville Public Library Foundation.
