Note from Cory Ponder: Really for me, I get as much influence from bassists and pianists as I do from drummers. For drummers though, Vinnie, Weckl, JoJo Mayer, Billy Kilson, Gavin Harrison, to name a few. Bassists would be Victor Whooten, Matthew Garrison, Adam Nitti, Jeff Berlin, Avishai Cohen, Dave Holland and his whole band. Piano players are just the best for me because they encompass all that I love about rhythm and harmony at one time. Herbie,Chick, Keith Jarrett and Geoffrey Keezer are at the top for me.

Come hear the Cory Ponder Trio live at Cafe Coco for Scion Sunday night jazz series!

I have seen this band in concert once before, and absolutely LOVED it! The members work effortlessly together to produce not only a great sound, but a great performance you will never forget.

The opening was just great. The art is innovative and inspired. It's amazing that he is only 8 years old!
