Acknowledged as one of the great guitarists in popular music history, Reggie Young has played on hundreds of classics. He grew up in Memphis and worked there for years, contributing to numerous pop and soul hits including "Suspicious Minds," "Son of a Preacher Man," and "Hooked on a Feeling." In 1972 Young settled in Nashville, where he immediately became a first-call studio guitarist for country and pop sessions, adding his distinctive licks to "Drift Away," "Luckenbach, Texas," "Always on My Mind," and "Little Rock," among hundreds of others. He remains active today. You will recall his long career and some of the classics he played on, and he will perform briefly. Following the program, he will move to the Museum Store for a signing.
