Nashville Ballet 2's new ballet designed especially for grades 5-8, exposes the audience to the art of dance in an abstract form. Audiences learn to look at a non-story ballet for the quality of its movement, the feelings that are conveyed, and the use of music as it relates to the theme of the piece. Using the original Bebop score by James Spinazzola, Director of Instrumental Studies at the University of Indianapolis, choreographer Kathleen Spinnazzola will look at the theme of the hero next door in an fast-paced urban environment. Inspired by recent global tragedies, she will show the humanity in all of us in the face of great catastrophe. Running time: 1 hour
