Louisville, KY, speaker, author, minister and practitioner Martha Creek will show individuals how to use self-realization techniques to overcome stressful thoughts, negative emotions, and limiting beliefs during a seminar. The Loving What Is workshop is based on The Work, three best-selling books by Byron Katie.

Creek, a certified Reiki master teacher, will guide attendees through a variety of powerful exercises designed to free their minds from the limiting beliefs that keep them living in fear, anger, sadness and depression. "These exercises offer people what years of therapy have not: the ability to love life and live in peace and joy," said Creek, who serves as an ordained minister and practitioner at the Unity of Louisville Church. The Work has been compared to other spiritual and psychological systems such as Socrates' questioning, the teachings of Buddha and the Zen Masters, and 12-step programs. It is a "practical and experiential way to undo the painful beliefs that preoccupy our lives."

Creek has earned degrees at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green and Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville. She is pursuing a doctorate at Emerson Theological Institute in Oakhurst, Calif. Creek received her training as a facilitator in 2004 at the Byron Katie International School for the Work in Los Angeles. She staffs events at BKI and leads workshops around the country.
