Born and raised in Nashville, Charlie Pate grew up playing primarily bluegrass, even though he was exposed to and sought out all kinds of music. Although he sometimes try to disguise himself as a jazz guitar player and occasionally a gypsy mandolin player, Charlie could not escape his true identity as a Country singer. In addition, he also played the drums in a garage band before his career took off. Currently playing with Dixie's Finest, Charlie recently signed a publishing deal with Disney and a record deal with MCA. In August '07, Charlie made a record with producers Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke. The anticipated release for this record is Spring of '08.
