SunTrust Classical Series presents Mozart's Requiem featuring Nashville Symphony, Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor, Christine Brandes, soprano, Beth Clayton, mezzo-soprano, Philippe Castagner, tenor, Nathaniel Webster, baritone, Nashville Symphony Chorus, and George Mabry, chorus director.

Arvo Part: Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten, Lutoslawski: Concerto for Orchestra, Mozart: Requiem, K. 626 (Robert Levin Edition).

With the work almost finished, Mozart died before completing his Requiem. One of Giancarlo Guerrero's favorites, this towering work brought the classic film Amadeus to a tragic close. Arvo Part's Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten is a modern meditation on the theme of death, while Lutosławski's Concerto for Orchestra balances the program by providing a sparkling celebration of life.
