A rare, extraordinary and moving evening of music and native Sudanese art to benefit Lost Boys of Sudan who came to Nashville in search of a better life. Over 20,000 young Sudanese boys escaped genocide by fleeing into the desert because their parents knew they would be killed otherwise -- 3600 of them were brought to America by U.S. charity organizations, and a number of them have settled into the Nashville area. The Lost Boys Foundation of Nasvhille is hosting an incredible event that will feature the solo performances of John Hiatt and Mary Gauthier. Works of art created by Lost Boys will be on display -- sculpture, masks, and paintings -- as well as native musical performances and stories told by the Lost Boys themselves. Renowned activist and filmmaker Molly Secours will MC the evening. All proceeds go to benefit the Lost Boys of Nashville.
