British heavy metal band Def Leppard formed in Sheffield, England in 1977 as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Largely on the strength of their albums Pyromania and Hysteria, Def Leppard became one of the top-selling rock bands throughout the 1980s, selling over 65 million albums worldwide. The band's new album, Songs from the Sparkle Lounge, was released in April along with the single "Nine Lives" which features Tim McGraw, who co-wrote the song with Joe Elliott, Phil Collen, and Rick Savage.

Also on the bill is Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Few artists boast a wider appeal than Joan Jett. Beloved by punks, indie rockers, pop lovers, riot grrrls, metal heads, classic rockers, radicals and conservatives, she is an influential, trailblazing musician, going back to when she helped break down rock's gender barriers and helped pioneer punk music with her teenage band, The Runaways. Jett has nine Top 40 hit singles and eight Platinum and Gold LPs to her name.
