This 90-minute guided walking provides an enlightening look at the town's past, including an overview of Franklin's Civil War history, the antebellum courthouse, the Confederate monument in the square, a most unlikely spy and a visit to St. Paul's Episcopal Church and its treasure in stained glass.

The Classic Franklin tour lasts about 90 minutes and covers about six wheelchair-accessible blocks. The tour is offered most days of the year, generally in the morning, although early afternoon tours can often be accommodated. Reservations must be made by 6:00pm the previous evening. Tours usually depart from Landmark Booksellers, 114 E. Main St.
