Music of the Spirit
June 17, 2008
"Music of the Spirit" will take the experience of Orchestra Nashville's "music without boundaries" mission to another dimension; they truly are the artist in Nashville best embodying our city's wonderfully diverse music scene. The program will feature Anima Mundi, a work commissioned by Orchestra Nashville from composer J. Mark Scearce. Premiered in 1999 and using text ranging from Chief Seattle to the book of Job, Anima Mundi is a powerful vision of spiritual music for our global community.
PAUL GAMBILL, conductor featuring the TURTLE ISLAND QUARTET and JOHN JORGENSON.
