    Famoudou Konate, a beloved djembefola from Guinea, will be teaching workshops in the traditional drumming of his homeland at the Global Education Center on Friday, July 11 through Sunday, July 13. This is a rare opportunity for local percussion students to study with one of the world's greatest masters of the djembe traditions of West Africa. Nashville is one of only six American cities on his 2008 tour.

    Helpful Information: Due to his style of teaching, workshops will begin on time with no late arrivals and audio taping will be allowed only at special times specified by Famoudou.
