Jason Stephen's abstract paintings are made of acrylic on canvas and are inspired by different styles of music. Jason says, "When I paint to music, rock or alternative inspires me to create dark colors, dense lines and circular motions. Jazz music inspires contrasting vibrant colors and dynamic shapes. In my pieces I want to show a sense of movement, balance, and unity. When beginning a piece of work, I pick colors that are appealing, stimulating and draw attention to the eye to create a pleasurable experience to the viewer." Artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Peter Max, and Eva Carter influence the creation of Jason's pieces.
