Add Review/CommentCheekwood hosts a special event celebrating its exhibition Painters of American Life: The Eight. Jim Lovensheimer, Assistant Professor of Music History at the Blair School of Music, and friends will perform the most popular songs from 1908, the year when the Eight had their famous exhibition. Lovensheimer is a specialist in music theater, and his research includes Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and minstrelsy. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the cultural milieu of the Eight through music!
