The much awaited release of, Shaved Ice, the sequel to Del Staecker's acclaimed suspense novel, The Muted Mermaid, which has a Nashville setting. Mr. Staecker will speak on his decision to use Nashville in his writing, read selected segments, answer questions and sign copies of both books. The Muted Mermaid is available in hardcover only. Shaved Ice is available in both hardcover and softcover editions.

    Del Staecker is a new writer on the mystery novel scene. I expect to see him follow in the steps of his fellow Citadel Graduate: Pat Conroy. The school has produced some outstanding writers and Del is now one of them. You will see movies being made from his books. Expect to see the cameras in Nashville for his new book "Shaved Ice," when it will undoubtedly be made into a movie. Show up at the reading and be one of those who can say: I saw him when. Collapse
