Don't miss Nashville's own American Bang and Bowling Green Kentucky's Cage The Elephant at the Mercy Lounge. This up-and-coming quartet of four high-school friends from Nashville is the real deal. American Bang's unruly brand of Southern-fried garage-rock packs one hell of a punch, with Jaren Johnston’s swaggering bluesy vocals muscling up against Ben Brown’s blistering guitar riffs, Kelby Ray’s aggro basslines, and Neil Mason’s burly drumming. Nashville City Paper called them “one of the city’s sharpest performing ensembles — and one clearly ready for national stardom.”
