Note from Shawn Byrne: When I am not writing, recording and performing my own stuff, I keep busy playing guitar and bass for other artists. Most recently I have been playing guitar for country artists Ashton Shepherd and Emily West. I also play a lot with two of my best buddies Kevin Montgomery and JD Simo. I have been fortunate enough to share the stage with folks like Steve Earle, Cowboy Jack Clement, Thad Cockerell, Amelia White, Molly Thomas, Anne McCue (opened for Lucinda for a week!) Brooke Miller, Sin City Social Club, Gary Bennett (BR-549) and many many more. I never fancied myself a session singer until I got the opportunity to sing on some demos for folks like Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Kristin Hall (ex-Sugarland), Mary Gauthier, and Gary Louris (Jayhawks).
