In Ashley Crownover's debut, the classic tale of Beowulf is retold from the perspective of Wealtheow, Queen of the Danes. After a century of silence, Wealtheow provides a woman's perspective on the issues facing her people, raising intriguing literary questions in a readable, modern writing style.

Del Staecker is a new writer on the mystery novel scene. I expect to see him follow in the steps of his fellow Citadel Graduate: Pat Conroy. The school has produced some outstanding writers and Del is now one of them. You will see movies being made from his books. Expect to see the cameras in Nashville for his new book "Shaved Ice," when it will undoubtedly be made into a movie. Show up at the reading and be one of those who can say: I saw him when. Collapse
