Did you know that Andrew Jackson was a UT donor? In November 1812, General Andrew Jackson helped raise funds for the University of Tennessee at Knoxville by purchasing lottery tickets. He bought nine $5 tickets for $45. And, he convinced his friends in Nashville to purchase thirty-six additional lottery tickets. Together, they raised $225. Jackson didn't win the lottery, but he did help UT! In recognition, The Hermitage is hosting its first ever "UT Day." Every visitor dressed in University of Tennessee clothing receives $10 Adult admission, $5 Children's admission (ages 6-17), FREE ADMISSION for kids age 5 and under, and 10-15% discount on Museum Store & Cafe purchases. UT DAY is one day only ... Saturday, July 19, 2008 and is sponsored by the University of Tennessee Alumni Association, Davidson County chapter.

Please note: Other discounts do not apply. Customers must be UT alumni or supporters wearing UT clothing.
