Chainsaw Dupont & the Blues Warriors have built a strong following in Chicago by swimming against the tide, performing original material rather than the slew of preferred "classic blues" covers that are favored on the touristy blues circuit. Updating the classic blues with modern sounds, they still retain the soulful underpinnings that have always made the blues work. Dupont made his mark as the 90s touring guitarist for the late great Junior Wells, and has attracted some of the best young musicians in Chicago to his live band.

Note: Chainsaw Dupont will not perform on July 4 and July 11.

I had the pleasure of hearing Carl Stewart sing and play guitar (lert-handed and upside down) at the B.B. King's Blues bar in Nashville while on vacation from Edmonton, Alberta. He and the B3 organ player and drummer were absolutely marvelous. I sincerely hope that they come to Edmonton some time in the future. I think they would be well recieved. Collapse
