Join us for the BMI Showcase at the Mercy Lounge featuring dynamic siren Cary Ann Hearst, quixotic honky tonker Courtney Jaye, charismatic indie rockers Modoc, aerial pop chanteuse Erin McCarley and disarmingly soulful rock hybrid MONA.  

What began as a simple showcase for Nashville’s booming non-country scene in 2006 has quickly grown into Next BIG Nashville 2008, a music festival and conference that not only gives a deserving spotlight to the area’s rock, pop, hip hop, indie and roots artists but also brings together many of the more exciting elements of Nashville’s dynamic and diverse music business community. Click here for information about venues and schedules.

    I was pretty bummed when I heard the show was being moved to The Cannery Ballroom. I was looking forward to seeing them at The Mercy Lounge, but it ended up being a blast! They sounded super tight and of course the crowd went nuts for Steady as She Goes. Level was another highlight. The opening band Magic Wands were really good, a lot of people seemed to dig them.
