Students in The Renaissance Center's Songwriting class, taught by Steve Leslie, will conclude their semester with a showcase in which they will perform their works in the intimate setting of the Gaslight Dinner Theatre. Leslie has been a professional songwriter for the past 15 years. He was a staff writer for EMI Music publishing and Stage Three Music Publishing in Nashville. He currently writes independently and is publisher for Chord Boy Songs. Leslie has had songs recorded by Kenny Rogers, Neal McCoy, Mark Chesnutt, George Strait, Rhonda Vincent, Darryl Worley and won a Grammy for the title cut Brand New Strings recorded by Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. The evening includes a selection of desserts and beverages.
