The hit songwriting trio TLC: Todd Cerney, Leslie Ellis and Casey Kelly will headline September's Tunesmithing @ West End. The monthly event, which spotlights hit songwriters and emerging tunesmiths, also will feature performances by songwriters Jim Borja, Britta & Brooke Dodgen (The Redheads), and Gary Gulbergh. Nashville publicist Chuck Whiting and the Songwriters Guild's Central Project Manager Kimberly Maiers Shaw will emcee the show. Tunesmithing @ West End is sponsored by Whiting Publicity & Promotions and the Nashville office of the Songwriters Guild of America.

Singer/songwriter Todd Cerney is known for both his musicianship (he plays every instrument) and his hits. "Good Morning Beautiful," recorded by Steve Holy, spent five weeks at number one on the country charts in 2002, and Restless Heart's cut of Cerney's "I'll Still Be Loving You" earned him ASCAP's Country Song of the Year title in 1997.

Leslie Ellis teamed up with Kelly and Cerney after moving to Nashville in 2003 to pursue her songwriting career. As a noted background vocalist, she has sung with numerous artists, including Thomas Dolby and Celine Dion. Her performance on Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie, Titanic, earned her a coveted Grammy award in 1999.

Casey Kelly is a two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter for "Soon" (recorded by Tanya Tucker) and "Anyone Who Isn't Me Tonight" (recorded by Kenny Rogers/Dottie West). Other hits include: "That Road Not Taken" (cut by Joe Diffie), "Only Game In Town" (cut by pop group America), "Somewhere Down the Line" (cut by T.G. Sheppard) and George Strait's "Cowboy Rides Away," which still closes all of his live concert shows.
