The Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at 2:30pm CST at LP Field in Nashville. Teams will be announced December 7, 2008.

The 2008 game will mark the third Bowl match-up between the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) in Nashville. The 2:30pm telecast on ESPN leads into the Chick-fil-A Bowl, which is the only other ACC versus SEC bowl match-up in the country. Last year in this same time slot on New Year’s Eve, the Bowl delivered the highest television rating in its ten year history.
