MUSIC ON TV - Moderator: Tim McFadden with Terry Lickona (Austin City Limits), James Bailey (Yep Roc Records), Jim Pitt (Late Night with Conan O'Brien) and Joe Pagetta (Nashville Public Television)

Even as savvy music biz professionals work to exploit all of the resources available to advance their music on radio and online, there is tremendous value in traditional media like television. It's a dynamic way to showcase your act's performance attributes, plus the concentrated number of eyeballs is hard to match. Opportunities for ancillary promotion from the TV network itself exponentially augments any marketing plan. But TV can be one of the hardest nuts to crack, especially for up-and-coming acts. Our seasoned industry panelists share various perspectives on how they've found success in getting music on TV.

By day, the 9th annual Americana Music Conference features numerous panels, seminars, a trade show, and much more. This special event covers the interests and needs of artists, managers, labels, radio stations, publishers, agents, promoters, retailers, performing rights organizations, legal and business affairs executives, tour-related services, merchandisers, new media and all related allied professionals.
