In the summer of 2007, singer/guitarist Adam Livingston had a band name and an idea of the sound he wanted to create. He also knew exactlly who he wanted to create this sound with. He first called drummer, Bobby Knowles and told him the name and the direction he wanted to go. Bobby was instantly on board. Next, Adam talked to his brother, bassist Mark Livingston. Being that they are brothers you would think that they had grown up playing together, but that was not the case. They had been in one band together in high school. Ironicly Bobby was their drummer and Adam was playing saxophone. Feeling that it was time to start playing again Mark was in and Boom Ticket was born. Adam and Bobby had spent the prevoius seven years in a band together, Adam playing saxophone and Bobby playing percussion. Mark had spent most of his time just writing but not performing. So there was a little time of adjusting, not only to playing with each other but their instruments as well. Both Adam and Bobby had not had much expierience on their new choice of instruments but the ideas and ambition were there. From the very begining Boom Ticket collectively agreed that the band would exercise patience in everything they did. If a song wasn’t ready it wasn’t ready. This attitude has helped them create a sound that is unique and most importantly a sound that they all are proud of. Boom Ticket is very energetic, passionate and humble about what they do. They feel it is a gift to be playing with each other and a gift to be able to share it with their audience
