Add Review/CommentArtist/instructor Gail McDaniel and four of her student artists will premier Central American-inspired watercolor paintings in a special exhibition benefiting BRIDGES of Williamson County from October 1-31 at the CharacterEYES boutique, 407 Church St. in Franklin.
The Guatemala Through Artists' Eyes exhibition will kick off with a reception Saturday, October 11. Art lovers will be able to see paintings by McDaniel and student artists Laura Hampton of Loundon, Tenn, Randy Love of Brentwood, Lisa Syler of Franklin, and Thayer Wine of Nashville. The paintings, which feature breathtaking images of landscapes and people, were brushed during and after a 10-day educational expedition to Guatemala.
Twenty percent of the proceeds from art sales will benefit BRIDGES of Williamson County, a domestic abuse shelter. Guatemala Through Artists' Eyes is part of an ongoing series of exhibitions established by CharacterEYES Eyecare and Optical.
