Add Review/CommentThree-time Grammy-winner Lucinda Williams is one of the country's most important and prolific songwriters. Dishing out a heady mix of rock, country, blues and folk with her backup band Buick 6, she shares her arduous life journey through her deeply personal songs. Her compositions are rich in literary detail and poetic imagery, each highlighted by a deceptively simple melodic sense and evocative singing that fits her material entirely. Lucinda Williams has always been adept at painting landscapes of the soul, illuminating the spirit's shadowy nooks and shimmering crannies -- but she's never captured the sun breaking through the clouds as purely as on her upcoming Lost Highway release, Little Honey (2008).
