Now in its third year, Sparkle and Twang highlights the Tennessee State Museum's Costume & Textile Institute and is the Foundation's more affordable fall fundraising activity This year's event will present the work of artist Rachel Kice and will be held at Nashville's newest event location, One Eleven at 111 Broadway, a rooftop space overlooking historic Lower Broad and the 2nd Avenue honky-tonk district with spectacular views of the Cumberland River and LP Field.

The theme of the evening is “Rockin’ Tall,” a reference to the vintage McNairy County Sheriff Patrol Car of Buford Pusser, which has recently been restored and is part of the museum’s collection. The vehicle will be parked on the corner of 2nd Ave. during the hours of Sparkle & Twang and is expected to draw much interest from party attendees and passersby.

Additionally, a legendary couturier of regional or national stature is inducted annually into the museum’s Costume & Textile Institute. Muna Abboud of Muna Couture Made-to-Order, known as the area’s “favorite Swan Ball dressmaker,” is this year’s honoree.
