    A history of the people, schools, churches, and businesses of North Edgefield. Called Northeast Nashville by the families who lived there, beginning in the 1850s. Originally the plantations of brothers John and James McGavock, the area boundaries were Woodland Street to Trinity Lane and the Cumberland River to McFerrin Street. Lecture lead by C. William McKee, Ed.D., Professor of Education and Public Service Management Cumberland University and Commissioner, Historical Commission Nashville-Davidson County
