Acclaimed photojournalist Eric Etheridge will join First Amendment Center founder John Seigenthaler for a discussion of Etheridge's new book, Breach of Peace, as part of the MP&F Speakers Series. The book features the mug shots taken of 328 civil rights heroes known as the "Freedom Riders" when they were arrested in Jackson, Mississippi, in 1961, alongside current photos and interviews with the Riders. Etheridge, a Mississippi native and a 1979 graduate of Vanderbilt University, has enjoyed a successful career as a magazine writer, editor and photographer in New York. This event is the 11th installment of the McNeely Pigott & Fox Speakers Series, which has brought best-selling authors to Nashville for free public events since 2004.
